Need to finish out some budget 223 builds that I keep as truck/farms guns. Looking for something 1-4/1-6/1-8. The goal is to able to zero and put in shed/barn/truck until needed for 50-100 yard shot on coyote

Since I need 3 of them like them to be as cost effective as possible.

Don’t care to much about features just a little magnification that will hold minute of yote zero

Vortex Razor LH 1.5-8 (2nd focal plane)

It’s technically been discontinued, but can be had for less than $500 if you find one in stock somewhere.

I’ve had one for over a year mounted on a 16” 5.56 AR in a Warne xskel Mount. It’s held zero. Reticle is simple with useful hold points.

Millett 1x6x24. I have one on my SCAR 17s.

Under $300 with a mount. Natchezss has done 10% off a few times in the last month too

Been super impressed with my SWFA 10x only thing I wish I'd of done was MIL vs MOA. Used it during rifle season last year worked surprisingly well even in close had never used a fixed of that power to hunt before. If I had a dedicated truck gasser for me I'd slap a 6 on there and roll

Give us a call at 916-670-1103, we can get you set up with some budget optics :)

I have a Vortex SPARC and it comes with a screw in 2x magnifier, but I think it's real close to useless. I don't have any other experience with Vortex magnifiers.

I'll second the recommendation for a 1-4x scope though. I use a Burris but I really like the looks for the new Nikons and excellent prices too. If you don't need the 1x option, then there's a whole world of 2 or 3x to whatever scopes in your price range. The M223 Nikon looks great but the new P223 models look even better.

Best 1-4 out there for the money has got to be hands down the Steiner P4Xi. That's what I run on my main AR and love it. Nothing but good things to say about it, especially at that price point. Great glass and reticle, daylight bright illumination that's nice and crisp, and very easy to set up and use. Eye relief is pretty generous as well.

50-100 yards?

Aimpoint for sure. Can find link new Pros for $300. Aco's for 250.

Should be able to do whatever you want quickly to 300 yards.

I find it hard to believe some of the cheap scopes mentioned here would hold zero when used/abused on a farm situation.

I know about how well this will go over here, but....
My truck gun and three others are sporting Leatherwood/Hi-Lux CMR's. I've not one complaint about them for what their intended use is. I really like the zero stops on the elevation turrets, and their reticles work exactly as they should on CMR weapons.

I have a 1-6 Vortex Strike Eagle on my 16" AR. It has taken a fair amount of abuse. I'm of the mentally that "chicks dig scars", so, my shit gets used. Pretty is for women. I have no regrets in the purchase, but, I am considering a new LPVO. Not because my SE has failed me. Sub-100yds, irons or RDS

Since a lot of SWFA suggestions popped up. This scope has better glass than SWFA, tracks and is lightweight. It’s a LOW optic and Natchez will put these on sale for 200$ when they come back in stock. I sold all of my SWFAs and run these on rifles that doesn’t need more than 10-12 mils to get its job done. It’s not ffp but the reticle is spot on at 10x.

Doubt they come back in stock though, Weaver is closing up shop.

SWFA SS fixed power. All the scope you need for the money. I had two of them when I was first getting into long range and they preformed flawlessly.

I stuck a 3-15 on a 300blackout I bought yesterday I’m still not sure what I’ll put on it later but I’m happy right now
