Rifle Scopes Need a scope for a 223 bolt action

I am pretty new to the "long distance" shooting. I have a rem 700 in 223. I am in need of putting some glass on it. I am unsure of what to get for it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Here is what was suggested to me:
C142 Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50 MRAD Zero Stop Mil Dot.... Thoughts on this? I do understand you get what you pay for with optics....Thoughts would be appreciated.

Rem 700 SPS tactical threaded for a suppressor
AICS 1.5 chassis
Nightforce 20moa 1 pc base
Nightforce rings

SWFA SS 10x or 12x MRAD and lotsa ammo with the money you saved. As a fellow new bolt rifle shooter, I recommend not going crazy on the optics until you've spent some time shooting and learning what you like.

Need answers to the same questions that are always asked when somebody says "what scope?"

What's your budget, intended use (ie. typical ranges), required feature set, desired magnification and feature set?

I personally like a mid-range variable, something in the 3 to 16x range. Typically recommended scopes in that range at the $1000 or less price point include but are not limited to:

SWFA 3-15x42
Vortex HST and PST 4-16x
Weaver 3-15x EMDR

Other options for slightly upmarket include the Bushnell HDMR and Burris XTR II 3-15x.

I have a Bushnell Tac Elite DMR 3.5x21 with G2 reticle on my .223 bolt. Great combo.

I'm running a Nightforce 3.5-15X50 with MOAR model C429 on my 223 bolt gun. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite scopes.
