I recently sold my MPA BA6.5 comp chassis rifle and ordered a Bergara HMR PRO heavy barrel in 6.5creed to have a setup that was more dual purpose for hunting/long range shooting. One thing I need help with as I haven't received the rifle yet, I want to mount a ARCA rail system that will allow a quick sliding adjustment for both barricade stops and still be able to mount Ckye Pod. Been looking at the Area 419 gear but not sure if it will mount without modifying/drilling holes in the stock. Would like to be able to move the Bipod out past the stock if possible.

Planned Build consist of:

Hmr Pro 6.5creed
Valdada Recon G2 (Val is awesome FYI)
Ckye Pod
Area 419 Hellfire brake

any advice is welcome and thank you in advance

You can attach without drilling holes using the front action screw and t-nuts that are already in the stock for the sling swivels. You'll need a longer front action screw. We provide one, but it's too long and meant to be trimmed to length, like so:

Two weeks ago I just installed the Area 419 Arca Rail kit they make on my 6.5 Premier Pro. I think I got the 12” version of the rail, I do know they make a 14” rail kit as well. The 12 rail protrudes about 1/4 of an inch forward of the front part of the stock if I remember correctly, currently I’m at work. When I get home in a few hours I’ll post a photo for you.

the only thing I had to do to make the kit “work” was to cut down the replacement forward action screw they provide, the screw will be to long and will enter the action lug area. Just a quick zip with the dremel cut off wheel and the screw is the correct size. You will then also use the replacement screws they provide and pick up the two holes for the two sling swivel holes already in the stock. The rail kit bolts one with just the forward action screw and the two sling swivel holes..... they also provide additional screws and t-nuts if you want to pickup the additional holes in the rail, and transfer new holes to the stock by drilling..... just use the forward action screw and the two sling swivel holes and you'll be good togo!

it’s a really nice kit, you will enjoy it, very high quality. If you want the bipod to be mounted out front (or more forward) of the stock, then the longer 14” rail would be your bet.

Photos in a few hours!

all the best,
Jeff

So does the CKYE pod attach directly with the front barricade portion of the rail system? or will an adapter be needed? or does the front barricade need to be removed and then slide on bipod?

Afternoon,

I don't have the CKYE POD so I can't comment. I do have the Thunderbeast bi-pod.... I ordered the TB without a mount, the TB bi-pod just mounts / bolts directly to the front movable ARCALOC CLAMP & BARRICADE STOP.

I do know if you want to run a Harris bi-pod you'll need both of the following.

Hopefully someone with a CKYE POD will chime in for you.

All the best,
Jeff

Stumbled on this thread and I’m in a similar situation. I have a 300PRC HMR Wilderness in Gun jail at the moment and wanted to get the 14” weighted Arca-lock rail from area 419. I wasn’t sure what the stick out would be given the rifle is a long action as compared to the above 6.5 hmr stock.... anyone have any thoughts or tried the 14 in rail on a Bergara long action? Thanks!!
