Ok, need some help from those with experience. I'm looking to put together a 10/22 charger set up.
I'm going to put a 10" barrel on it, but am unsure whether I should get 1:9 twist or 1:16.
I'm open to playing with different subsonics and match ammo, but I really like CCI standard velocity ammo and like to stay consistent with what I use. As it stands, they are rated at 1070fps. I want to keep the rounds subsonic, but I live in Michigan and temps/conditions vary, which inherantly affects speed.
If I go with a 1:9 twist, I believe it would help slightly reduce the speed, keeping the round subsonic more consistently.
My concern is this may be too much twist and cause excessive spin. Is there any adverse effects on accuracy or consistency with too much spin on a 22lr? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
