Rifle Scopes need advise

ok guys i need some advise
i have Model 10FCP HS Precision – with AccuTrigger™.308 with nikon buckmaster 6-18x40 scope with 50 moa max internal adjustments .
i'm going to join 1000 yard range tonight

will i be able to shoot 1000 yards with this set up or do i need to buy 20moa scope base.
i know that this scope is not the best but i'm saving money to buy nightforce.
so do i need to buy new base or do i have enough elevation in my scope .

You'll need a 20 MOA base as with only 50 MOA of total internal travel that gives you about 25 up and 25 down and 25 MOA is not enough to get a 308 to 1000. With the 20 MOA base you should have over 40 MOA and that will do it depending on load used.

If you filled out your profile we would have an idea whether you are at sea level of 5000' altitude.

Regardless, if your scope has 50 MOA total adjustment, that means you will have about 25MOA useable. You'll need more than that.

A -20 MOA base will add 20, for about 40-45 MOA useable. That would be enough.

not sure about fps

and what base should i buy ??
