I got some Eley Force .22lr ammo to test out for 200yd+ shooting. Does anyone know the BC for this?
Ive emailed the company, and tried to contact them on the phone with no results.
Has anyone here tried it, and what kind of results did you see?

Thanks!

All rimfire at 200 yards across a chrony

Thanks a lot everyone! That is exactly the info I needed! When the wind dies down, Im going to my 2nd amendment theme park.
Trigger Monkey, Was those velocity numbers from your chrno?

My ballistics software is saying .157 with a muzzle velocity of 1250. That should get you close and you can dial in from there.

What ballistics software do you have? My range currently has 25, 100, and 200 yards. So I know the dope for those 3 distances, and I'm trying to build the right curve to fill in all the gaps. Local matches, shoot at like 40m, 66m, 100m, and it's hard to figure out all the dope for that.

If you know your dope to 200 yards then you should be able to run your data through JBM Ballistics and fill in the blanks with a fair degree of accuracy. You might have to play with the velocity and BC to true it to your rifle but I've been using the .150 BC for a couple of years now with pretty accurate results.

Thanks I've been trying to adjust velocity and BC to make a curve line up, but haven't had luck yet. I should also get a range finder to see if what they claim is 200 yards is actually 200 yards too, maybe that's why none of my curves work out.

25 yd zero,
2.1 mil up @ 100
7.8 mil up @ 200

How confident are you the range is in yards and not meters? I don't know anything about your set up but if I run a .150 BC @ 1108 fps with a 2.0" sight height then I can get the dope within 0.1 mil at 100 and right at 7.8 at 200, now that's meters not yards.

In order to get your dope lined up for targets laid out in yards then I had to drop the velocity way down to 1020 fps, which is unlikely that it's going that slow IMO. I'd verify what units of measurement the range is using and the actual distances to the target but to me it seems like the evidence is pointing it to being in meters.

The range claims yards, but I don't know. I'm trying to find a second hand Sig Kilo 2200MR and will go range it once I do.

With my sight height @ 1.6, .132 BC, 1070 FPS, I get 2.3 @ 100, 7.8 @ 200 which is kinda close.

Will ask anyone at the range tomorrow if they have a rangefinder, or know precise measurements. I'm not even sure if the 25 is exactly 25 either...

No rangefinder, but put paper up @ 200 to check the spread/avg. It looks like I'm at 7.9mil @ 200, and 2.1 mil @ 100. Hope to get a RF sometime next week. I tried out Lapua Pistol King, and I'm at 2.2mil @ 100, and 7.9mil @ 200, so that bullet has a slightly different BC I guess (didn't check the 25yd zero on it, still zero'd for SK+)

On my 308, 100 yard zero with PPU 168gr, 20" barrel, I have .6 mil up for 200 yards.

If you will add you location to your profile, it helps others know if they are local and provide assistance. For example, if you are near me (south part of Middle TN) I'd meet you at a local range where you could have access to a rangefinder, Labradar, and Kestrel. With the data from the Kestrel and Labardar, you could calculate the true BC for differnt ammo and rifle combinations using the JBM ballistics webpage:

littlepod,

2,459 miles (one way) might be a little too much of a drive to use my gear. But I bet there is someone else in your vicinity of Washington state that could help you out.

Lol thanks for the offer. I'm new to this so just getting started in the community. I've met some people recently so will start learning more and making friends.
