My budget is $1100 for this 6 mm ARC rifle. I want a threaded 22 inch or longer barrel with a diameter of at least .740 just before the threads, a 3 lug action with a 70 degree or less bolt lift, an adjustable trigger no more than 3.5 lbs and a decent stock. I have looked at Howa BA and Brownell tells me the 22 inch bbl measures .574. Also Howa's action is 90 degrees. Aero precision Solus bolt is not as yet made to fit .441 inch case head. Ruger American Gen ii has a 22 inch bbl predator model that meets most of my requirements except for the stock. KRG makes a special Bravo for the Ruger with AI mags. Boyd makes an AI Ruger kit with bottom metal in aluminum for at least one of the thumbhole stocks. If any one has experience with that conversion please give me a heads up.
any has hands on experience with that set up I would appreciate a reply. If any has knowledge and experience with any other barreled actions or rifles that might work for me I would appreciate a reply. Thank you for any response.

Wait and get the Solus, out of the options listed. They’re supposed to be out sometime soon. Howa’s are junk and so are Ruger Americans. I’ve had all 3 over the years.

Thank you. I appreciate your advice and I think you are right. I am 83 and have comorbidities that diminishing my physical abilities with time. I can wait a while but not to long.

I would contact Aero and tell them your story and tell them that if they can tell you, you're infested to know a rough ETA for when the ARC/Grendel/7.62x39/PPC bolt face will be available for purchase. I'd be interested to know, as well. I'm also waiting on Aero to drop the Solus Obsidian long action with the magnum/PRC bolt face for my 7 PRC build.

OP, I'm a long time lurker here, I joined to give you a response to your question.

I salute and admire you for still shooting at 83 yo. I wish that I will be able to do the same, tho that's not likely.

What are your physical limitations? If you lack strength but have good neuro-motor ability, the Howa mini may be good for you (it's 90 deg bolt lift angle, but it is a short lift distance, as the bolt lever is smaller and shorter). The rifle is very good for small people, the bolt lever is smaller, the knob is small, the throw is shorter, it's a very light weight rifle ... but it's crappy for big people with big hands, and diminished motor abilities; the small bolt knob, the small bolt lever, bang their knuckles on the scope, etc. The Howa 6 arc mini is a pencil barrel, but the Howa 6.5 Grendel mini is a fatter barrel, 3/4" at the muzzle. I have both, they shoot the same. Really, there is very little difference between the two cartridges. 6.5 Grendel is functionally the same as 6 arc. 6.5 Grendel Howa mini heavy barrel is answer to your muzzle dia requirement...

A few friends, and I, have diminished neuro motor skills, but still have strength. A full size rifle, heavy, with a large bolt knob, 90 deg throw, is the easier way to shoot, for us. Larger movements, larger grasping knob, and more stabilizing inertia. Longer distances with less forces equals the same work... Tikka UPR is my favorite factory rifle, for my abilities. The Aero Soles Bravo is also very good. If you could find either on sale, over your budget I know, in 6.5 CM, and you shot lighter weight bullet loads, I think you would be miles ahead of any 6 arc rifle. The same might be true of other manufacturers' off-the-shelf rifles, but I don't know about them...

6 arc is a PITA cartridge. Limited in many ways. It locally maximizes the AR-15 platform performance. It has much less utility in a bolt gun.

Hope that helps, keep shooting

ETA: $300 more than your budget, you can get an Sig Cross 6.5 CM, from EuroOptics. It's an exceptional rifle, if you can manage the light weight. Good, if you need a lighter weight rifle. Three lug bolt, if you insist on that. Harder for me to use, but it's the rifle I pick up first.
