I'm tired of wasting duracoat. What do you guys use to measure out your paint and hardener when your not going to be using a lot? Say you want to mix up only a teaspoon or half a teaspoon. Mixing 12:1 is hard to figure out how much hardener I need. Also what measuring devices are you using?

It's almost impossible with that small of quantity.
I don't use Duracoat but have the same problem with Cerakote.
It makes a nice case to use GunKote though ~ depending what you are finishing.
Brownells has syringes too for small quantity measurement.

I had the same problem with cerakote and our paint. A chem supply company offers the solution. Gaduated cylinders make quick work of figuring ratios in small quantity. I bought 100cc sized units.

In your case id look for smaller ones. Say a 25 and a 50. Reason is you'll waste most in a tall cylinder just trying to pour it out of the thing.

Get glass/pyrex and buy a bag of bottle brushes while your at it. Much easier to keep clean than the chitty plastic ones.

Good luck

I am far from a master,

I bought some cheep plastic cooking type measuring devices at walfart. I worked well for me.

I have read of people having problems when the temps/humidity is way off

I use small paint mixing cups (available from most local paint supply/parts stores) and measuring spoons. I just break it down as far as I need to go in fractions, but I also try to line out multiple items to shoot at one time so I don't have to mix very small amounts. It's worked well for me anyhow.

If you use the air cure Cerakote you don`t have to add hardener. So you can use what you need and pour whats left back in the bottle. At least I hope you can my kit didn`t have any hardener and that is what I have been doing.

I looked around last night and got some 2.0ml Pipets, 10.0ml Pipets, a Graduated 10ml cylinder, 25ml cylinder and a 50ml cylinder from a chem lab company. Everything is glass so it should be easy to clean as well.
