Rifle Scopes Need Help Picatinny Rails

[Some Day]

I am in the process of getting a picatinny rail for my rifle i am having built.One how do you guy's feel make a real good rail.And two what moa size rail should i get 20,25,30,40.Having a 300 rum built.Want to shoot 100 yard to 1500 yd.Putting a night force 5.5-22x56 on it.ring are American rifle rings.Ia m new to this and just wanting to get it right.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

What scope are going to use? The cant of the rail depends more your optic then the rifle or it's intended purpose. As for who makes a good rail personally I like Seekins and TPS.

I have been happy with my EGW 20 moa, I have a couple of them. They are not on magnum calibers though, but for $40 they are tough to beat. For something heavier duty perhaps the NF is a good option.

Hey, just noticed a banner ad here for Murphy Precision stainless and ti bases, does anyone have opinion on these. Look really nice, maybe for the OP to consider.

Hi

You can have up to half of the total elevation in tilt.
Your scope have 100 moa travel so you can have a 45moa base.
But that said there is usally some drawbacks with to much tilt.
The picture quality on short range are often not as good as it is with lower tilt.
I don't know how the nightforce is with 45 moa tilt.

I'd stick w/20MOA. The scope and the cartridge are probably capable of getting you out that far with a zero-MOA base. Seekins has treated me really well. I once got another high-end base in steel sent to me by mistake. Brand NIW, it had rust around the holes.

Thanks guys ill have to check them all out.Dose seekins make aluminum bases.would aluminum be strong enough for a 300 rum.
