Millett 4-16x50 TRS-1 Tactical 30mm Riflescope

Bushnell 3200 Elite

Falcon Menace varible FFP

are a couple of the options that I have seen here on the forum...

Can someone compare them and/or suggest another in the $300 - $400 price range.

I'm looking to have 1" or smaller groups on paper at 100yds with an 18.5" barreled Remington 700 5R (It's my first Precision Rifle and I'm just getting into long range shooting)I'll eventually shooting up to 500 yds at the mountains...

Any help would be great!!

Mike
Thanks

Re: Need help picking a good lower end scope...

I would suggest Nikon or Burris for your price range. Great scopes and they will hold up to magnum rounds. I have a Millett and really not impressed at all with it, optics not that clear.

I ended up getting (for a really good trade) a Nikon Monarch 4-16 X 42SF with a mildot reticle...

Havent mounted it yet but I ordered Burris tactical rings (low mount) for the Warne 20 MOA base plate... Sound about right?
