you should deffinitely be able to fit it but the question is why? optics perform best when they are at or as close as possible to their mechanical center, so while you can fit it, you would likely have to be way down at the bottom of the elevation range and therefore degrading your picture quality if you were shooting at closer distances. Tapered bases are really meant to keep your scope close to the optical center for the range you are shooting so unless you are planning on shooting pretty damn far all the time, i wouldnt suggest this. Also, be careful with tapered bases because they can make your cheek weld really suck which will negatively effect shooting at all distances
