Gunsmithing Need realtime help with LMT Safety Selector removal.

Hi guys,

I have an LMT MWS AR10 pattern and am trying to put in a new Geissele trigger. I have unscrewed the bolt on the safety selector and the arm on the right side, but the shaft and left side arm are not coming out even with gentle tapping. Any idea if there is a trick to removing this specific safety selector?

The grip needs to be loosened to allow the retaining pin to let it slide out if I remember right.

I have read that in ome place but it doesnt appear that the grip screw comes anywhere near the saftey, but it's worth a try. Thanks.

Sorry for doubting you, you were absolutely right. The information inched read previously was for a different system and from the appearance I didnt think there was crossover...that's what I get for thinking. Thanks again.

The same as small frame?
Spring and detent pin.

No large frame assembly experience here.

did You get the trigger swap done? If not let me know more than happy to help. I swapped to the ssa-e on my lmt too.

Make sure the hammer is cocked. If the hammer is down the safety will not come out.

Put the safety at a 45 degree angle between safe and fire. This will allow it to ride over the detent without removing the detent. To reinstall just push the detent back in and slide the safety back in place.
