Training Courses Need Recommendation for a long range training within the New Orleans area

Go to the F-class matches in Donaldsonville, and talk to the shooters there. They are some of the best in the world. Take whatever you have, and shoot it. They will help; then see what you need from a training course. They also probably know of some courses. I don't know how many courses provide load development information, but they all will know about that. www.paloaltogunclub.com

I shoot at Palo Alto. We only go out to 600 yards so mid range is more accurate. LPRC in north Louisiana often hosts K&M Precision classes.
I am in Northsore. And I am not sure how long of a drive it is for me. Just moved out here from west Texas, and 600 was the longest I had there as well. I would love to take some fundamental training even just out to 600 and then travel for longer ranges.
Have you taken any courses at LPRC? Do you like it?

From the Northshore you're about 1hr 45mins from Palo Alto. The F class matches are the second Saturday of every month. They shoot both F class and what we call field precision rifle matches which is similar course of fire but fired from a bipod with rear bag only and max optic magnification of 25. I have not personally taken any of the LPRC hosted K&M courses but if you research them you'll find nothing but good. They are some of the best in the business. I'd like to take one but I work rotating weekends and they always fall on a weekend I'm working.

Isnt Palo Alto a private range with no public days? I live in the BR/Asc area and have wanted to join before but dont know any members for endorsement and heard there is a waiting list as well

It is private but matches are public. Second Saturday of every month. Membership sign up is every March. You don't need a member endorsement to be accepted. As far as a waiting list I'm not sure about that. I've been a member for two years now.
