I was hoping you guys might point me in the right direction.

I have a 243 Win rifle that is rather long. It has a 27" barrel with thruster brake in a McMillan A5 with adjustable LOP to 13.75". With the above, it makes the rifle 49" long.

For the life of me, I can't find an adequate soft case or drag bag that would accommodate it. Surely there are some bags out there that could fit. What do you recommend?

I use a Pelican 1750 for travelling and a 50 inch 5.11 soft case. Its not a drag bag, but a good soft case. And it fits inside the pelican perfectly.

I'm active, and every time I travel home, I take one of my rifles with me. Both my 49 inch OAL RUM and my 49 inch OAL 338LM fit in the 5.11 and the Pelican perfectly. I travel with the Pelican and ditch it when I get home. I use the soft case for transport in and out of cars, to and from ranges, etc. Then I throw it all back in the Pelican, check it at the airline counter, and head back. They (the airlines) have yet to leave a mark on any of my rifles since I've started using this setup.

The Aim 50 dragbag from Aimfield Sports is what you want to get.

There are glowing reviews on Youtube to be found.

Some great selections.

I love the whole bag in a Storm case concept for car and plane travel. I came across the Hardigg FieldPak and it looks to be a perfect solution. Now to just find where they are sold!

I like the Aim 50 & 60 drag bags as well. Anybody sell those state-side?
