First of all thanks in advance.
My idea is to build a Montana sourced rifle (well at least as close as I can without compromising too much). My goal is a mile, for now. Id like to build a rifle that I can shoot way far out at the range but also take hunting ( I won't hunt nearly as far as I want to be able to shoot at the range). Im currently hitting 950 consistently with my 30-06. Ive found a range that has targets out to 2400 and would love to be able to work towards that.
My build idea is:
Chambered in: 300 PRC
Action: Defiance Ruckus Action
Barrel: Proof Research Carbon
Trigger: Triggertech (possibly need more research and to see if I can find a Montana trigger company)
Stock / Chassis: Thinking chassis but not sure, would love a cheek riser. I need to find a weight friendly option.
Bipod: Elite Iron Revolution
Scope: Not sure yet I have a Zeiss Conquest on my 30-06 and I love it.
Muzzle break: Not sure yet.
Any suggestions are appreciated and anything that I might have missed, please fill me in. I haven't built a gun before so I need as much help as anyone can offer.
Once again, thanks.
