I need to get a better grip on my McMillan A5. I've tried gritty spray paint but that's not doing the job. So do I want to use bondo or what? Can anyone share photos of their rifle grips that have been textured in any manner to allow for a better grip? Thanks in advance.

well 2 things...
1) if you want to add texture to a Mcmillan stock, there are a few ways to do it.
A) you can use devcon, and use a gloved finger to add texture.
B) you can use a textured paint, like bedliner, or Rustoleum "stone" texture paint.
C) use skateboard tape
2) if youre shooting properly, you really shouldnt be gripping your rifle that tightly with your dominant hand....you really should be holding it like a dead fish.

if the rifle is twisting, its not because of your hands, i can assure you.
you should never "muscle" the rifle into position, which is what it sounds like you are trying to do.
adding texture may help.....but itll only be masking the true problem
I had Robar texture a stock for me. They did a nice job. There is some pictures of their work on their website. The stuff they used looks like Marine Tex. They charged me $141 for their work. Round trip shipping and insurance was about $40.

Further, the texture is from a heavy, dry sponge used to "dab" the Devcon/epoxy as it is hardening.....
