Rifle Scopes Need TPS one-piece 20 MOA rail specification

To all TPS rail owners,

I receive my SPS TAC ACC-SD last couple weeks ago. I am now ready to buy the scope, one piece rail & rings for it.

For the rings & rail, I would like to get the TPS rail & rings (steel version). TPS rings height specification can be found on its website, but I could not find the specification of TPS rail.

If you have the TPS XP Remington M700 S/A Rail - 20 MOA CANT, please measure the rail height at the front for me. I need the height of the rail to figure out the biggest scope objective lens that I can use with the low TPS rings.

If i measure from the bottom of the rail to the top of the lugs that are furthest forward it measures 0.3825".

If i measure from the bottom of the rail to the area where the scope lug would sit it measures 0.2610"

Both measurements above are measured with the Mitutoyo calipers set horizontally across the very bottom of the rail; exactly in the same direction the crossbolts of the rings would be. Therefore you are getting the radius of the action/bottom of the rail included.

If i measure inline with the barrel furthest forward, center of the screw hole you get 0.1885".

The distance between the lugs on this base is 0.2045".

I hope this helps to clarify things for you. If you need further data just let me know.

FYI:I have steel TPS rings with a steel TPS base & they fit perfectly. I used Aluminum TPS rings on my CSS/Eliseo/Pierce tube gun & they fit perfectly.

Here is a pic of my SPS Tac 20" barrel. I would not use the super low rings if you plan on using BC covers. The scope here is a SWFA 5-20x50 HD SS.
