New AR Trigger

Re: New AR Trigger

Depends on how much you want to spend and how good you are playing with the lower receiver parts. I've had very good luck with JP Enterprises triggers. But they require just a bit of know how with the system and how to fit the disconnector. A good drop in choice is the Timney trigger system. It's a drop in unit so as long as you can remove the pins and reinstall you're good to go.

I love mine as well. They aren't cheap, but I doubt you would ever wear it out.

Re: New AR Trigger

I have a drop in Timney 4.5 pound ( you can get diffent poundage) and I love it.....Crisp and sweeeet. I mounted it with KNS anti-rotational pins. I bought the Timney from JP enterprises for $195...? I think??? ...SmokeRolls

Re: New AR Trigger

Go with a two stage. RRA is fine if you do your own tuning. Use a bolt hold open
spring in the disconnector and bend the trigger spring to taste or order a jp. yellow
spring. Set your first stage at 3 lbs and your second at 1.5. or visa versa if you so
please. Keeping at 4.5 lbs. over all will keep you legal in all competitions.

Re: New AR Trigger

Get a White Oaks Precision tuned RRA Trigger. You get a more crisp break than a standard RRA match trigger without the cost of the Geissele (but the Geissele is still a better trigger).

Re: New AR Trigger

Have an RRA in an AR10 and really like it. One that hasn't been mentioned is Chip McCormick. Got about 1500 rnds on one in an AR10T, always felt good and been very dependable. Knock out two pins, drop in trigger grp, replace pins, go shoot....its that simple. Lot of good AR triggers out now.

Re: New AR Trigger

Ya know, I'm not really sure. I was told a while back by someone on here that they had stopped building triggers but then about a week later I saw them for sale at a couple places. Havn't looked lately.

okie

update: Every place I looked said out of stock or discontined so..............

Re: New AR Trigger

I put a Geissele in a DPMS AP4 308 and couldn't been happier. It is awesome and pretty easy to put it in. It is pricey at $279.00 but I think it is worth it.
