Hello gents!
Been shooting all my life but only learned how a few years ago. I did Appleseed 3x in the last 5 years and I keep meaning to take the plunge into distance shooting, so here I am.
I recently bought a Remington 700 SPS, and not two weeks later they announced that recall. So no rifle.
I was going to buy a Savage 10 P-SR, I liked the accutrigger and big bolt handle and the compactness (the R700 is a 26" Heavy).
I picked out a scope for the R700, the SWFA SS 10x, but I can't find the rings and base I want in stock (TPS). So that's on hold.
And lastly I was trying to replace the stock on either of those rifles, thinking the AICS 1.5 for the R700 and the B&C Medalist/A2 for the Savage.
I know I look like a gear hog but I went from 1 to 0 and while I might end up at 2 in a few months I'd like to get back to 1 so I can go shoot!
I will probably be lurking in the gear forum for buying options.
Reloading is another part of this for me and I finally got everything I needed to start and then I moved to a different house and need to set back up. Nothing but false starts in this sport but here I am, registered and bona fide, ready to soak up the info and tips.
Best,
Duff
