New Bottom Metal Savage TR .22--- New picts!!

Re: New Bottom Metal Savage TR .22

I will take a look at that but I imagine it is just a matter of drilling both holes same as the front, that is not a problem. I am going to pick up some aluminum stock today and see how that works out.

I picked up some aluminum and steel stock today and made two of steel and one aluminum. The steel is actually easier to work with and I am actually getting pretty good at these, but I did buy a few more tools today. The small screw is actually further rear of that unused lug thread.
PM sent on the one you requested.

Here are the tuned groups with the new Metal, all I have to say is WOW!!!!

and the CZ 452 Varmit, the Savage TR is giving the CZ a urn for its money. The Savage didn't like the Eley. The five left corner are intended for the tiny red "x"s with 5 shot group in the middle.

Re: New Bottom Metal Savage TR .22

I've got to replace the bottom metal on my TR. I know Whiteknuckle utilized the third action screw. Has anyone seen empirical data showing that accuracy improved from using their rimfire's extra action screw? Does anyone know why savage only uses the third "extra" boss as a screw to fasten the magazine guide?
