Heres the specs:

Reminton action completely trued and bolt sleeved
Chambered in .223 match throated to 2.485 using the 75 A-max (for the new .223 AI Mags)
Bartlien barrel 1-8 twist medium palma finished at 22"
Pinned Holland recoil lug
Rifle Basix LV-1
R & D bolt knob
AICS 1.5 stock with two of the new AI .223 mags coming
Cerakote C-series Matte black finish
threaded for the jet supresor

It was quit a project but with my first range trip Sat and a follow up yesterday. I couldn't be happier. Shooting Varget and RL-15 it is showing good promise but the best SD is with the RL-15. It hasn't fired a group much over 1/2 moa yet even with using a bi-pod and my new gun jitters when they start cutting little holes - I always throw one : )

First groups on Sat. Top shot was the fouler in the first picture and was a 4 shot group. All the rest were 5 shot groups using my AR rounds and some leftover .223 rounds from my old LTR.

These were from yesterday evening trying some Diff loads. All were 4 shot groups shot from a bi-pod @ 100 yards. The squares are 1/2 inch.

I have really become intrigued with the .223 over the last couple years and with its ability to run the better B.C. bullets from a mag it was an itch I had to scratch. It seems like going backward from the butt kicking .260 but in real world shooting and long range varminting it makes you look at all the environment conditions and read them. Guess it wrong and it's a miss. I have to say even running my old LTR (sold to Suess) I learned allot more with the .223 than I ever thought I would.

I have way more time in it than money that is for sure. If I had to guess not counting the scope, rings, bases or Supressor probably a bit more than $1700 in parts.

It's a regular short action AICS 1.5 from Bauer Arms. Right now it has the .308 mag but I ordered the .223 mags a couple months ago from Adam. I heard they went into production last month and should be here soon. Stacey got me the max OAL for the magazine so I could throat it properly. Can't wait to try their new mag : )

So I will assume you are shooting the rifle with the 308 mag. how is that going? Or are you loading it one at a time?

Thanks

One at a time until the mags come, hopefully soon. The loads are working out pretty good. I never used RL-15 although I know it's a popular cross the course powder. Any downsides to running this powder - lot problems, temp sensitivity and so on?

I switched to match primers and I have a load for both RL-15 and Varget that are single digit SD and shooting good. Although Vaget was a little more work to get it there. Question is which one to run : )
