Just finished it, no time to shoot yet. I'm going to be severely disappointed if this doesn't shoot a lot better than the 6.5CM Ruger RPR it's replacing.

Thanks. I hope the limiting factor is the guy behind the rifle, not the rifle itself. I think the better ergos, better barrel, and a more solid platform will result in more consistency and more first round hits at distance.

some factory rifles shoot really good. Custom rifles aren't solely about accuracy, also the fit, finish, ergo's weight, balance etc

Absolutely. I've had Remingtons (that one honestly wasnt a sub moa gun) but a couple savages and the ruger RPR were. None of them ever fit perfectly though. My barrel was going south on the RPR and didnt feel like spending money on a new barrel for it because of all the reasons you stated. Made sense to just build new.
