New build, tried something different

    I decided to build a 20" .308 but went with an odd combination. It is a +2 gas system, fluted, cryo treated, X-caliber in an SPR contour with a 1:9 twist. I already had the lower. It's an M5E1 Aero upper. The handguard in also Aero and the SA agb is sticking out a bit from the rail even though it's a 15". I ran 40 rounds of South African surplus through it and then shot these groups. All the groups below were shot with my TB Ultra 9 suppressed.

    I had 15 rounds left in a box of Norma 168s. These are the last two five shot groups with it:

    I shot 3 groups fairly rapidly, these are IMI 175.

    After the cease fire, I shot these last two groups.

    Overall I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out. Not my greatest day off the bench but I think the barrel will perform and that's all that matters.
