Hunting & Fishing New Deer rifle for Indiana

So with the new centerfire rifle laws in Indiana, I picked up a GAP Non-typical in .308 Win. Threw on a SS 3-9x42 in seekins rings and now to load up some ammo!!! Will start with the 155 Scenar. Thinking some white tails will hit the dirt this November!

Was there no hunting with rifles in Indian? I know some states its shotgun only. Anyway, that's a sweet rifle.

Indiana was shotgun only until about 5-6 years ago, then allowed rifles chambered in pistal/carbine calibers like 44mag. This past season was the first season that allowed some centerfire rifle calibers.

Nice rig man. I used my long range target .308 this season in northwest indiana. im looking for something like this for next season. Where at in Indiana are you hunting?

NWI huh? Me too. I'll be sticking to my 458 SOCOM for a while. Of the legal calibers I only have a 300 WM. Seems like a lot for a deer to me.

I'm sure that 308 will do a fine job.

Nice rifle I had my g2 and my fiancee had my axis 243 last season we ended up switching cause with her jacket she couldn't get a good sight picture. 4 pointer popped up about 40 yards and I drilled him with a 95 grain bt he was drt. Hoping to use the g2 recon this year and see what the 168 bt will do
