New from alabama and thought I'd give a bolt action a shot. Just picked up my new savage axis .308 heavy barrel (don't want to hear the crap) as an entry level rifle to see how I like this style of shooting and possibly modify it a little. It's what I can afford at this time. Picked up some glass that I could afford and ordered a 20 moa base and haven't decided on rings yet. I hate hate hate this stock.
Anyhow, I may get laughed off the board for not buying a GAP or a 5R but I'm looking forward to learning from you guys!
