Greetings everyone! I finally made the decision to jump on board and sign up. I’ve been shooting now for 12 years mainly pistol and carbine. And finally cobbled together a rig for long distance.
My Goal or Intention:
I’m just wanting to learn the craft and become proficient. I’m looking to hone my skills from 100-1000 yds. Not trying to get the closest groups humanly possible as in bench rest or prs.
I guess, I’m after 1 MOA across the board with speed and instinct becoming second nature. I’ve got a lot of work to do but I’m optimistic I can achieve said goal with time. I know my rifle can outshoot me. So one advantage I have is that I bring no ego to the table.
My Setup (as of now)
Tikka Tac A1 308 Win
Hawke Frontier 30mm 5-25x56 FFP
Nightforce Unimount 20 MOA Base
Harris Bipod
Blue Force Gear Sling
I also have been hand loading for about 10 years now and come from a machinist/millwright background. I have no doubt I can produce consistent/accurate handloads just need to work on accurizing the Indian.
Thanks everyone! Can’t wait to keep furthering my education.
