New member from the Duluth Mn area checking in. Just getting set up for precision shooting, and found this forum and videos on YouTube, a lot of great info. Appreciate all the people that post and allow us noobs to learn something.
I’m starting out with a Bergara b14 BMP in 6.5cr and a Vortex Viper Gen 2 5x25 in mrad with precision Vortex rings and Nightforce 20moa rail.
The range I’m currently a member at only goes out to 300 but will serve me well while I work on fundamentals. Looking forward to reading more posts and shooting more.
Thanks

@Pbgt - I dabble in them all, have a hand full of AR's, and used to shoot long range bench rest, and would like to get back into it if I could find a place to shoot with enough distance. Been trying to get involved with .22 competitions, but it's tough to get in on the shoots as they are popular and fill up quick. I help with the youth trap league in the summer, so I enjoy running the scatter guns too. how about yourself?

I am a shooting enthusiast, and practice handgun, ar, shotgun(no clays) and long range. My day started with mounting a scope on a 22.250, zeroing @ 100 yards , followed by a tracking test...then moved on to 100 rounds of 12 ga timed exercises, then finished with a box of 45 acp. I am lucky enough to have my own place to shoot, with my longest range @ 750 yards. Sounds like you need to wipe the dust off, grab some ammo and pm me for directions!

I know this is a pretty old post, but which ring height did you go with? I am going with a similar build on a B14 BMP but it will have a Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 with a 34mm tube.

I started with the .97s and they fit great but I felt too low on the gun so I switched to the 1.26s. It feels more comfortable and I have more adjustment in the comb height. With the .97s I had the comb as low as it would go.
