New from NY. HELLO!

Just got a new Remington 700 AAC-SD. Been wanting to get into long range shooting for a while now, but mostly all the places around me have 100 yards max. Didn't see the "need", since I can't really reach out as far as I want to.
Decided to buy the rifle anyways, since I've always wanted a good bolt action, and it was a hell of a good deal.

Looking into optics, stock, and smaller upgrades to start. I know what I want in the end, but funds will dictate whether there are a few stages in between now and then.

I hunt, bow and shotgun. Have a small Firearms modification business, and work at a sheet metal shop for my Day job. Looking forward to hearing input from all of you, and maybe meeting a few locals.

I used to have that rifle. If you like the action then I highly recommend upgrading the trigger and stock on that model. There's no shortage of aftermarket support for the Rem 700.

Welcome to the forum! I also have an aac-sd. I put a Timney trigger and Nightforce ATACR on it.
