I just received my 308 from GAP a few days ago and got some rounds downrange. This is my first GAP and it does shoot! Specs are: Lawton 7000, MCM A5 bedded with a 24" bartlein 1-11.25 tight bore, Vaios Brake and Nightforce 5.5-22mil/mil with Badger rings.
I don't have any pictures of groups yet as I didn't have my camera today. Load work over the last 3 days resulted in 46.6 Varget, fed 210m, lapua brass with 155 scenar at 2.820. ..25-.5 consistent at 100 yards.
This morning I went up to Reade Range and tried 45.8, 46.2, 46.6, 46.8, and 47.0. The first 5 powder charges all went in a 2.6" group with only 1.3" vertical for all. So I ended up with 12 rounds from 4 different charges all at 2.6" This was in an approx 10mph wind to boot! I then shot a 5 shot group at 500 with the 46.6 and ended up with a 1.7" group. Maybe an inch vertical. I also went out to 800 with three different powder charges as before and ended up with a 4.5" 5 round group. I'm ready to try this thing when its not 25 degrees and wind blowing all over the place!
I tested it against the 175smk and it was much better.
