My name is Mitch, and I'm new here. I live in Northern CA. Been actively involved in the 2A crap here, FWIW. I've heard of this site for years, from many friends that are in to accurate rifles, mainly AR's. I've been primarily a 1911 fan, with Glock's for SD. I also have a SA SOCOM 16, and a 12 ga. Owned and shot guns since I was a young kid.
Anyway, I finally broke down and purchased my first AR platform, a WW SRC-308. Just picked it up, and haven't even shot it yet (plan to do a basic barrel break in as soon as I can). I had the LGS where I bought it, install a couple of items. A CMC 4.5 lb trigger (which I really like), a Nikon 4-16x42 BDC scope, and a Lantec brake. I picked this up, without spending as much time researching everything as I normally, primarily cause I have a lot of more important stuff going on right now, and I wanted an AR-10 style immediately to get me started. I'm sure it won't be my last...
I figure by the time I get to know this thing, and have a lot of lead pushed through it, I'll have a much better idea of what I want - exactly.
So, please bare with me, as I ask stupid questions. A couple of close friends are very knowledgeable AR guys, but they also have lives, and I have to give them a little break, LOL...
