Are the X320's shipping yet? Has anyone used one to compare to other Themals in the X320 price range? Also on the micro LCD display is it about the same size as the PS32's display or is it bigger/smaller in size? I almost bought a X200xp back when I bought my PS32 several years back but the FLIR's higher 320x240 won me over in the end. Now that L3 has the X320 in a military grade proven housing with 320x240 imager, removeable batteries, 25mm lens and ultra compact size/weight I may be interested in giving one a try first hand.

It is way better than the old models (L3's X50, X150XP, X200XP), that is for sure, but still kind of over priced.

I liked them when I looked through them at Shot Show and they do have the FLIR InstaAlert feature now too, that is a huge plus. Should be great for hog and coyote hunting.

ATN rebrands them under their label too....

Wow nice lens I wonder what a 2X would cost for the X300 that would make a great system for out past 200 yards viewing. Did you notice at Shot Show how the micro LCD display compared to FLIRS PS/LS series LCD size wise? Also is the LCD eyepeice glass or plastic like the FLIR?

As it is now, with a 320 core and a 25mm lens you should be able to see a pig out 600 yards in an open field without any problem, that is double the range of any previous similar model that L3 put out.

I cannot distinctly remember the ocular lens system or if the objective was manual focusable or not, but it is a nice little kit.

I could have picked a demo one up for $3,500 but passed since I am pretty covered on the thermal hand helds now.

I have had one now for a couple months and it is significantly better than the 50 or 200. The clarity is way better and Skypup is right about the distance. I have spotted coyotes at about 300 and pigs at a further distance.

I got a good price but that demo for 3500$ would have been an even better price. For hunting pigs and other varmints it is very nice. The objective is manually focusable, although once I focused it I have not touched it since.

The FLIR's have the red hot object mode where live animals appear red vs white hot. The X300 list a simlar feature but it appears to me you would have to set it in the menu through software vs just move to it through the menu?

you are correct Phantom. I do not use it and did not program it that way. I run it only white hot. Just works better for me. But it is available from what I read and the disk that came with it says so also.

I get great reception with the WH, squirrels and bird on the ground at 150 yards, and good clarity.

To be honest I use white hot 75% of the time it gives me the best combo of detection and clarity, the rest of the time I mainly use red alert on my PS32 and LS64. I love the red but many times my PS/LS seems to overload and red everything out in that mode depending on weather conditions. That said when red alert works, it works very well :) My T-320 thermal scope had lots of color pallets but once again I mainly used white hot. The crazy rainbow and other Colors are cool but sometimes I think they are more for show/sales than real hunting use.
