Maggie’s New Leupold Red Dot

Just got a new Leupold Freedom RDS from Sport Optics. They were excellent to deal with, shipped fast and it was on sale for $50 off.
I chose this one because it has a 34mm tube, is made in the USA, has a 1 moa dot and a lifetime warranty. I have not shot it yet but so far I really like it.

Great optic! I put one on my Henry .45-70 lever gun and so far, couldn't be happier. Durable, made in America, works as intended.

Size of the knobs are what turned me off. I have a Delta Point Pro on my 320 x5 Legion and love it. Also am running the rear iron sight. For the money, your probably better off with a MRO IMHO...

Was able to get to the range and try the Leupold Freedom RDS. It was easy to zero. After sight was zeroed, I ran the elevation turret up and down several times and it returned to zero just fine. The day I was shooting was clear and sunny. I had the dot brightness set at three clicks up from dimmest. The shooting I did was at 50-100-200 yards. I liked the 1 moa dot, the dot was pretty tight in the lower brightness setting ( 1-4 ) but got a slight bit of halo / star burst effect at the brightest settings. I fired a total of 120 rds. The lenses stayed in, unlike the guy on the earlier posted video. I am happy with it.
