Hello from Annapolis. My father raised my brother and me to know how to shoot, how to enjoy guns for the sport they provide, and to respect them for what they represent.

As children, we competed in black powder matches when Tidwater Muzzle Loaders was around. As a young adult, a pistol for protection is all I had, but I am now interested in military turnbolts as well as self-defense. I am out of practice and intend to remedy that problem, which is how I ended up here.

I your serious about pursuing longer range shooting, then check out Alexanders Sporting Farms in Galena MD. That is sadly the longest range in Maryland @600 yards. It's a private range but cost is reasonable & memberships available.

Also look at Delmarva in Vienna…between Cambridge and Oxford area off of Rt 50. Commercial range, I thought prices were reasonable, goes to 500 yds
