Hi guys, I have been shooting for over 30 years and just recently decided to get into longer range shooting. I mostly shoot AR's AK's and recently picked up an x95 Tavor for cqb work. I have lurked here off and on for some time reading but my recent interest in the 6.5 Creedmoor and long range shooting drove me to create an account. Been reading up on long range shooting and have been trying to soak up as much information as possible. I recently purchased a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. I chose the RAP as I did not want to start off by throwing a lot of money into a caliber that I may not stay with. I can always purchase the Tikka T3X ctr that I have been eye balling if I get into 6.5. Anyway, took material from the stocks barrel channel to free float the barrel, adjusted the trigger, put a Harris bipod on and mounted a Burris XTR II 4-20x50 on top in some Warne steel rings. Seems like it should be a decent shooter if I do my part. Got a half dozen different loads to try and can't wait to see how it shoots. Looking to learn all I can about shooting at longer ranges.
