Howdy! I'm new to the forum from Central Texas but have been browsing threads for years. I can't even say how much great info I have learned from members here and I am definitely glad to finally have joined up. I've been shooting long range for about a year, and just got around to finishing the build on my personal 300 win mag precision rifle. It is a custom built rifle by my personal friend/machinist/gunsmith and it is one hell of a shooter. Anyway, I am glad to be on the forum finally. Here is a little info about my build as well as some pics.
Specs:
Remington 700 action, blueprinted/trued
McRees Precision Chassis in FDE
Lilja match barrel, NBRSA taper, 1 in 10 twist, 26"
Timney trigger @ 2lbs
Ken Farrell 20 MOA base/34mm steel rings
Schmidt and Bender PMII 5-25x56 H2CMR
Also, since these pics were taken I have changed the grip out for a black Ergo grip.
Load Development with 208 A-max and H1000, all are 5 shot groups
Best group. Did some research on the forum before loading these rounds. Saw multiple members who had great luck with 76.8 gr of H1000 behind their 208 A-max, so I tried the load myself. Strangely enough, it was my most accurate load as well. 5 shots in this group. If it weren't for the one flier, it would have been a one hole group. 100 yards, btw.
