I've joined the forum primarily to express my appreciation for the help that I have obtained by going through the previous posts while I have been lurking as a guest, thanks for all the advice (although not specifically directed to me) that has helped me decide on which route to progress down and what equipment to buy.
The general consensus that I have picked up on here is that it's best to buy decent equipment once and only pay the once, as opposed to upgrading equipment every couple of years. As such I have gone ahead and ordered one of the new AI AXMC .300 WM rifles and will be pairing it with a Nightforce ATACR scope, far more rifle than I will be needing or indeed even capable of using to anywhere near it's full potential for years (if ever
), but at least I will know where the fault lies when I miss the target entirely.
Again thanks for all the freely given advice on the forums, it has been a great help.
