Hello,

I am not new to shooting, but I am looking at building my first bolt gun in 6.5 CM have shoot out to 750 yards with an LWRCi 5.56 hitting a man size silhouette. I am looking at learning to shoot 1000 yards and reach 1 mile if I can find a range within reasonable distance. I am living in the Baton Rouge, LA area for now working for the Army as a Warrant Officer. Looking forward to getting some knowledge and making some friends.

Welcome. the 6.5 creed will get you to the distances you are looking at. just need to get out there and practice if you can find a range with that distance close enough. there is a lot of good info on here so good luck on your search.

sometimes the search function doesnt always work that well. type in your question to google and put snipershide in there as well and that will pull up a lot more information for you.
