I was around when f-class first got started. I actually shot in the first Texas State Rifle Association state championship that included F-Class. Heck I shot Sniper Quest 03 using the 8" plex on my Nikon Buckmaster to range with (and didnt get humiliated) came in about the middle of the pack. For me shooting against guys like Terry Cross , Wade Studeville and Pete Carpentier was an Honor in itself. Not to mention Israeli spec. ops guys who will remain un-named here. They didnt even allow lasers back then at Sniperquest, my how things have changed. I have recently retired and about to start shooting again. I am starting to come to grips with the fact that, I am a dinosaur now, actually saw on here somewhere that ranging with my mil-dot scope is now a legacy skill. LOL lots of catching up to do. I cant wait ! I would love to help some of the young guys get started with the basics as I will be starting over myself. P.S. you dont have to beak the bank to get started skill building. Work up to the gear you have while saving and researching for that next level when you have the ability to utilize the amazing stuff thats out there now. Just be sure that what you are using and implementing doesnt build bad habits that will have to be broken later.
