A couple decades ago I busted a stock into two pieces while attempting to remove the barreled action from the thing while tearing it down post bedding. That cost me around $1200 bucks and I vowed to never let it happen again. I spent the weekend conjuring this thing up and its been in service ever since.

When I opened my doors under the LRI flag 11 years ago I made another and John Beanland asked for one. Over the last few months I've been repeatedly asked by a gent to make another and that lead to more requests. SO, it's now a thing were making.

Basically, a tool to elegantly and cleanly remove a barreled action from a rifle stock once the resin has cured. It works by grabbing a hold of the scope base (STENAG/PIC rail) and lifts the action from the stock by applying pressure to the showline edge. A few turns on the nuts and you'll hear the receiver pop free. Then its easy as you just continue to tighten the nuts evenly so that the recoil lug well doesn't become bound up. This is the "big deal" for that as it eliminates the risk of chipping out the corners.

Included are a pair of blanks that can be machined for specific rail format or contoured/drilled to direct mount into an action. As requests come in for various types, we'll address this again and start offering additional adapters. I'll be working on Tikka stuff here soon.

Stock color is Ceracoat SOCOM BLUE. I chose this as it typically finishes with a slick look that wil clean up easy. Custom colors and engaving options are also available.

These are on the store now and were working on the verbage for the additional options now.

    Thanks!

    C.

A year or two ago there was a kid on LRH, I think his name was Riley, attempting to make a similar tool to sell. My memory is a little fuzzy but I think he was making a rod for the bolt raceway and attaching the lifting studs to it.

Yes, basically a clone to the old USMC M40 tool.

I chose the scope base route as it tends to pull straight up and parallel to the lug's axis. Real easy for the other type to rotate inside the receiver. X2 if the bedding happens to creep up on one side more than the other.
