No pics yet, but I've just finalized my newest build in 6.5 Grendel:
Alexander Arms Entry Upper Receiver
Shilen Barrel with 1:9 twist 19.5" (threaded with thread protector)
Composite free floating tube handguards
low profile gas block
DPMS Lower
Chip McCormick Tactical trigger
American Defense Recon-X mount/rings
Bushnell Elite 4200 3-12x44 FFP mil/mil
Standard A1 stock
rounded trigger guard
tactical charging handle
This is my first gas gun that isn't .223. I wanted a round that has very good performance at distance with low recoil and settled on the 6.5 Grendel, primarily because it uses the standard AR15 platform which means I didn't need a new lower. I also wanted a caliber that not everyone has. Fortunately there is quality brass (Lapua) and a metric shit ton of quality match rounds in 6.5 (.264). It'll be mostly for paper punching at the gun club, but hunting coyotes isn't out of the question either,
Any load recommendations would be cool.
I'll have a range report when I get back from vacation, and pics as well.
