That is an old school tool. I just mounted an old Leupold Westerner 8x on a heavy barrel Mauser in .257 Roberts. It is not in the class with yours, but it reminds me of the rifles I used to drool over when I was a much younger man.
Something about those old-style shooters.

That looks awesome TG!! I never knew you were a south-paw until now! Great looking setup, let us know how it shoots!

You got one that is defective. They put the bolt on the wrong side for normal people.

Very nice. Got to love the old-school look with the wood stock and the external adjustments on the classic Unertl. Elegant to say the least.
I hope you have a great time shooting her (him in your case?
) in a few days.
