I'm pretty new to rifles, hunting focused, and looking to get a nice, lightweight, rifle that will last. I and wanted you who know much more than me to provide some input on my options... Aim is sub 2500$, sub 6lb, cartridge capable of 600 yard efficacy, quality nonlead options available, threaded. I lean to 6.5 PRC and I do not reload as of now.
1. Seekins Element, love it, little pricey at 2800
2. CA ridgeline ti, some apprehension here due to the ca reviews that range from phenomenal shooting to unusable
3. CA mesa ti dropped into a lighter stock (AG composite sportsman should knock 8-9 oz off based on what I read), same apprehension as above
4. Tikka short mag donor action rebarreled/new stock (prob not as light as the other options, longer time to acquire, maybe more expensive route)
5. Weatherby mark v backcountry, love the rifle, don't love 60 dollars per box of ammo, would prefer slightly shorter barrel than 24 but not a dealbreaker
What else am I missing? opinions? Seekins codes available?
Thanks in advance for your time and shared knowledge.
