I picked up a Surgeon Scalpel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor from a fellow hide member and I finally got to take it out today and sight it in at 100 yards. This is the first rifle of this quality I have ever owned and I must say I am more then happy with my purchase. I just had to share a couple of pics.

I know this rifle can do better than I can and I am ready to put the time in to see its full potential.

Re: New rifle, range report.

Bigjohn,

That's a great looking rifle and a great caliber too.

I hope I get to shoot beside you sometime at one of the comps. The bad thing now is, if you miss, you can't blame it on poor equipment!!

Re: New rifle, range report.

Yes this is very true, it will definitely be shooter error any miss but I am going to try to not let that happen. I will be at Vici in March so we will see what happens.

x2...beautiful!

Offtopic, but what program is it that everyone is using to show their targets with the grouping bracket and sizes?

Thanks

Re: New rifle, range report.

Thanks guys. The program is called OnTarget and it is a free download, it takes a second to figure out but works really good once you do. Basically you set you target distance and bullet size, then you can set a known measurement on the target (1" squares in the case of the target above), input your bullet holes and it will come up with what you see above. It's a pretty great free program.
