For anyone looking to shoot or see what precision rimfire is about come on out to the Monticello Sportsmans Club (MSC) We hope to see those of you in MN show up for some fun.
For 2021 MSC will continue to hold our monthly weekend match. We are adding a few new matches and learning opportunities for the 2021 season.
NO RIFLE? NO PROBLEM - We have loaner rifles for you to use. Ammo will need to be purchased for $7.50/box.
YOUTH ALWAYS SHOOT FOR FREE -Loaner rifles available. Ammo provided to new youth participant FREE of charge if needed during your first season of participation.
Monthly Match Details:
Monthly 22LR precision rimfire matches consist of 6-8 stages and approximately 75-100 rounds.
The matches will test your skills as a precision rimfire shooter. Requiring participants to shoot from various positions on various props at steel targets ranging in distance form 25-300 yards.
Our monthly matches are run as a series with trophies for top shooters along with cash payouts during the September match.
Twice Monthly Match Details:
Second and Fourth Tuesday of the month May – September
22LR precision rimfire matches consist of 4 stages and approximately 50 rounds.
Shooting will start at 6pm and run through 8pm.
Once done participants can stay and socialize or take off if you have something else to do.
Participants will have the option to have scores tracked and posted in Practiscore or score on paper and not post in Practiscore.
Cost is $10 per shooter.
This will be an informal style match. Show up anytime between 6:00pm-7:30pm and shoot the stages.
“GET TO KNOW” 22LR Precision Rimfire
Ever wanted to see what precision rimfire is about? Come on out on the Second Wednesday of the month May – September between 6pm and 9pm and find out. We will have steel targets and shooting props set up for you to try. Rifles and all gear needed to participate in the learning experience will be provided. Come on out and see what it is about!
If you know what the 22LR precision matches are but have questions or need some assistance. Maybe you want assistance with gathering DOPE, chronographing your rifle and ammo, setting up your ballistic app or maybe you just want some tips on how you might improve in our matches. COME ON OUT! We will have people and gear on hand to help you with what you need.

- Hosting a “get to know” Precision Rimfire event on the second Wednesday of every month (May – Sept)
