ok guys, I finally got to mount my S&B 5x25 PMII mil/mil on my rifle after many many months of waiting. Got to the range to get it sighted in. My setup consist of : one Terry Cross KMW custom built off of Rem 700, Nightforce 20 moa base that has been opened up to 8-40 by Terry and mounted by Terry way back in 2006. New BAdger rings purchased here on the hide, model # 306-14 I believe, and above said scope. Scope was purchased new and was set to 0-0 , I assume from the factory. After its all said and done with, i still have 24.5 give or take of mils up elevation, which is fantastic. However, it took 2.2 mils of Left windage adjustment at 100 yds to get zeroed. Is this too much? Is that acceptable? Any info just to put my mind at ease.

2.2 mils isnt much i say dont worry about it.are your rings properly seated,base torqued down?yes,then no worries just shoot.

2.2 mils is not all that bad - like stated above, if eveything is tight & torqued to spec, shoot and enjoy!!

If it is a brand new scope that is a bit much in my opinion, if the scope was new and centered. I have had new scopes from S&B that only needed .2 mils to zero.
But it's hard to say in this case... honestly I wouldn't sweat it, it shouldn't physically affect anything.

base is tight, rings are slid forward in rail mount and torqued, caps are on straight and even. just my first FFP scope and was concerned if it took too much. kinda looking to hear what its taken others just to see if im in the ballpark

Some rifles need more windage than others to zero. Just the way it is. As long as you still have plenty of elevation then I wouldn't worry about it. You have about 24 mils of elevation and it usually takes about 10-12 mils to get to 1000 with a .308. I think you'll be fine

Non-issue it is 100% fine, it was simply off a bit from the start and you actually centered it ... drive on, enjoy.

i just checked again. its got 5.6 L windage remaining, and 6.8 R remaining. so if you split the difference, it took .6 mils to zero. that makes me happier. mustve been a bad count at the factory
