Rifle Scopes New scope company Element Optics

Found out about these ford from a YouTube page I frequently watch. The Nexus is looking really tempting to me. The guys that designed it at least know what features a good scope should have. Before starting coming out with these they all ran NF ATACRs or similar.

Sent the company a message about the Nexus and it is indeed 100% made in Japan. Said it’s made in the same factory that makes NF and Vortex Razors.

All SS internals, tracks good, lifetime warranty, weighs 26oz

Street price at $1500

Only negative I see is 30mm tube

They have a couple other China offerings also but I think we have enough China scopes on the market already.

I think we are seeing a bunch of new optics companies due to the Chinese manufactures that will build a scope to your specs, think menu. Choose the features you want and the quality standards and they churn out scopes that may meet the quality specs you dictated. You can chose the composition of the mechanical parts and means of verification. On the optical side you can choose the type of glass, surface smoothness, coatings etc. The more options you choose of the menu the greater the cost, you don't get something for nothing. Hands-on healing is usually required to maintain strict quality standards, hands-on means visits by employees of the manufacture or trusted local reps of the manufacturer.

By carefully spec'ing the features of the optical system and quailty standards and diligence to quality quality optics can be delivered to the end user. Ignoring things like trade deficit, ITAR issues and IP, the inclusion of optics made in the far east has driven down the cost of effective rifle systems.

The chinese have a very flexible view of IP, this has been exhibited many many times by companies doing their manufacturing there. Go to AliExpress.com and search for Nightforce or Leupold scopes and you will see many offerings, do you think that these scopes are manufactured to the same standards as the real ones? I know many of the high-fashion counterfeits (Gucci bags and the like) are made in the same factories that are licensed to make the real ones. Enough said about chinese IP practices.

They did come out with 2 less expensive scopes that are made in China. They have to have something to sell to the poors that are willing to support their brand. I bet they end up selling At least 100:1 cheap scopes vs the Nexus

These days there's more and more Pacific Rim start up optics companies. I'd caution that a lifetime warranty is the lifetime of the start up. These new brands are all coming out of the same factories as established brands so be choosy and be careful.

There are no counterfeit Nightforce scopes on Ali Express.

Quality construction weights a bit, glass weights a bit... 26oz kinda makes me think theres something missing.

Optically it looks pretty bad. Way too much CA / color fringing and it only has a max of 20x. Way too many other good options for less money, and substantially better optics for the same price or slightly more. I think this scope is DOA.

I wonder if it is that they do not exist or the public will not buy them if they did?

The other items are easier to check for quality that a scope.

Were are all the cheap AR parts that don't even bother saying made in USA coming from? South of border or Asia? When companies are selling full uppers with free floats for $135-150 and cheap BCG. I can't imagine that stuff is made in the USA. I also wouldn't want to trust my safety to it.

Same body, probably same glass quality.
After the weaver tactical 6-30 was discontinued, I noticed a few scopes coming out of low with same features just different name.
Where they are assembled and where the parts come from is something to consider.

Chevy Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire come to mind.

BTW, I am not looking for cheap Chinese parts. I am just noting that guys will buy scopes from China but seem to avoid other parts. The scope is the hardest part to visually check for quality. ( Though a short range test will often show up problems )

There are no counterfeit Nightforce scopes on Ali Express.

In the past there were I was not aware they were no longer there, sorry for the misdirection, That being said the amount of counterfeit crap on AliExpress is staggering.

A marketplace for Chinese manufactures to direct sell their wares to the world, you can order from them from just about anywhere. Think of soemthing you want to buy and go to AliExpress.com and search for it, heck try bipods and you will see lots of bipods that look, and may function, like many of the bipods used by 'Hide shooters.

Its not a rebrand. Its the same chassis, chosen buy two companies, that both have their scopes built at the same factory. The chassis are the same, but the other parts may or may not be, it depends on what quality of parts they paid for.

I guess what I was trying to say is, there’s a list of parts at places like LOW, chassis, erectors, glass etc. Companies get to choose the price point and criteria, and they build the scope. Some might be proprietary but most might have a different turret system, but erector tubes, leaf springs etc are more than likely the same parts.
