hi im looking for a scope for my rem 700 i am going to do long range shooting,i have a price range from 1000 to 1500 please post up some scopes that are the best in that price range thanx

Dude. You should probably hit the search button and read all of the opinions the last 10 people who asked that question received before the guys show up with their beating sticks. Then you probably want to qualify by maybe providing some options you prefer (FFP, tactical knobs, etc) rather than the general "What's the best?" question. It would probably also be helpful to define "long range shooting" as many here are in the 2000 yard+ club and, from your question, that's probably not the kind of "long range shooting" you are looking to get into.

newshooter215...new in here too and DirtyRod is correct. Sit back and spend some hours reading all the posts. I got a pretty quick slamming when I posted a question simular to yours. I'm three weekings into reading topics and still have not purchased optics. Leaning on Nightforce. There is a ton of great info in here if you are commited to doing the research you'll find many answers here. Good luck in your search.

Hell. It took me four months of reading posts, fondling scopes, watching shooters, vendor sites, etc before I made a choice and I had already purchased and used 5-6 optics on other rifles before I started!! I'm good for now but watching and taking notes for my next a year or two down the road.
