I wanted to get the word out about a new sling company from a not so new to the game guy that we all know and some love ;) Mr Mike Miller. @MikeMiller As some know Mike has had some past history with slings so he knows his stuff. His new sling system can be used on it's own or with the belt which is a cool addition. You can hook directly to the belt and not have the pressure on the hand/arm of the rifle support arm. You can see how this is done by the video of Mike below. Also I posted up the instructions that came with mine. I will say it's very well made with excellent hardware. I really look forward to trying it out in a match and just shooting practice in general. I also plan to try it on my ARs as it can be used for those in as well. Definitely worth a look if you are in the market for a new sling.

    I don't get it.

I discovered after buying an Armageddon gear sling that they are generally just in the way on any timed stage where movement is required.

It does all sorts of cool stuff. 99% of the time that's limited to carrying my rifle the same as a $20 sling.

    Hard sell for $240.
Understand. That’s for both belt and sling system. Ready to go. The hardware alone is very expensive. The belt is a heavy duty field/gun belt that is made better than anything similar. I When the project started i decided to build the best and take zero cost shortcuts. Hopefully the market will support my idea.

Make the best designed and functioning sling belt system there is.

Look at it this way. You have 400.00 rifles and you have 10,000 rifles. 100.00 scopes and 5000.00 scopes. Some appreciate the difference and some don't

    I appreciate your input

It’s not made for “PRS” per se and it’s usually “pick up rifle and place on bag” stages of fire. You can use it if you come across a stage by a MD who likes different but there is all kinds of uses in shooting for a sling. Had a Rimfire finale match they had offhand, kneeling, sitting and prone stage and I wish I had this sling.

I know the sling isn’t the cool thing today but it definitely has its place in marksmanship and even competition shooting.

My apologies. I am visiting very sick Mother in Law ( stage four cancer) and don’t have access to my computer files. I will be back Monday and hopefully by then we can get website fixed and some good video out there. That way you can see what the system does

Family first, us, well we will be here when you get to it.

I saw David Tubb promote a very similar setup in a police sniper video about 15-20 years ago. Never tried it though.
David hooked to upper shoulder area of a vest with extra hardware. You had to wear the vest which did not fit into the real world situations very well. It also had torque added because it was not in center of spine area. It was a step in the right direction. David Tubb is probably the smartest weapon accessories designer of all time

As time permits I will release more and more products in different price ranges for different uses. I used the five year no compete agreement to work out solutions for various problems shooters face. It’s called mental illness. lol

Yeah,...Berry compliant with cobra buckles, plus a belt...
That's an instant $200+ price tag right there LOL

I actually really like the idea/innovation of it.

The use case, cost, and weight are all gonna come under scrutiny, tho fair-enough.

Look forward to hearing the first field tests and results.

This sling is in the wheelhouse of contemporary slings in terms of cost and features such as the TAB Gear Pinnacle Rifle Sling and Ridgeline HOGLeash sling. I can see people with shoulder injuries or limited range of motion being able to utilize the sling like this vs. trying to get them looped up in a traditional fashion.

My critique is that to be a fully functional system you have to have the belt with the QD attachment where the two aforementioned slings only need a common carabiner and/or the loop that's organic to many rigger belts. On the face of it it seems that customers have to buy the full $240 kit to get the full benefit so perhaps there's an option in the future that's standalone and allows the user to use their existing belt.

Or maybe work with Cole-Tac to supply their sling thingy as an option.

My next product to release is an adapter that will work very well with any belt and not hang down

Just for info. My partner on this who was supposed to build the website had his gorgeous wife come down with inoperable brain tumor so I am fumbling my way through that part of this. I am slow and inept at website stuff so please be patient

    Everyone please pray for her

To me, it looks part of a well-adjusted firing position, especially in the seated or kneeling positions. The old school was to wrap the sling around your arm and that can produce some sideways tension.

Thanks for sharing with us @Rob01 and @MikeMiller

And God bless you, Mike. And your family.

Like I said I will have a proper belt adapter for sale shortly. I just have to get it up
On website when I get home. Although the belt is so well made it’s what I recommend.

    No
Offense to the sling thingy but it’s not going to work right

That seems to be plastic? There are a hundred foreign language fake reviews of the thing, but a couple of the real reviews seem to suggest it’s plastic.
I saw the flood of one star reviews on the Cole Tac site and only one Amazon review with pictures but that's hardly conclusive considering that Amazon is rife with fake products and the reviews on the website are highly likely disingenuous. Their website description still says steel so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. If they did switch it out from steel to plastic though then that was dumb.

I just wouldn’t think it would be very stable or secure with just a piece of 550 cord wrapped around a belt versus the way Mike’s belt attachment is made.

Actually taking a hard look at the Cole adapter . I think it would work fine with my new sling. Not ideal but should work. My new adapter is far more secure and once adapted to the belt it won’t hang or flop around. Trigger thanks for pointing that out. As to plastic or steel. Most probably plastic body with steel insert for the swivel to snap into.

Done. And him. Not easy to face.
And prayers for your family and your MIL.
May God be merciful as He always is.

good sling shooting is an important thing. Missed by a lot of prs. Needs to be a sling stage at every match!!!
My good friend @Foul Mike, rest in peace, would always encourage practicing it. “Start with your .22” he would say.

I'm a little disappointed, in the mid/late '00s this thread would have had threats of lawsuits, ex shadowy government agency figures, and a lot of swearing. This sort of feels like hearing GnR playing in the grocery store after seeing them live in the 80's.

I think I still have a quick cuff sling somewhere.
