New stock/chassis choices from SHOT 2018?

JP Rifles has a prototype chassis there.

MDT has a right folding ESS Chassis with a double hinge so you dont get a big hinge mechanism in your way. Its not really a new chassis, but a big improvement on a current chassis thats pretty decent. John McQuay (8541Tactical) posted a couple pictures on his IG. Unfortunately, i think we have kind of hit the high point for now in chassis system offerings. there is really nothing revolutionary coming out but there are some solid improvemnts on already proven products. i haent seen anything in a while that was just mind blowing or i gotta have it. I really like the RACS and the CSR chassis from Big Green but there is no way in hell i would pay those prices. im kind of finding myself going back to the Manners A5 style. i go through phases.

I heard they released their carbon fiber handguard, but if this is true about the folder for which I have been waiting, then it is time to get it.

Not a new chassis but MPA came out with a RAT barricade attachment.

Similar to the ingenuity gun works system. The video is on their youtube channel.

The Seekins competition carbon stock looks very nice. Adjustable length, cheek riser, and Arca rail up front with their new bottom metal. I've only seen one video of it, and it was at the end of a video showing of the Havoc. It's on their FB page though.

I watched the video. I was all excited about that rifle until I heard the MSRP. $4500, up from $2200.

the krg bravo makes this obsolete before its released.

Pretty much. I put the deposit down on the PVA rifle using it. Curious if the MPA rat attachments are the same form factor as general Arca/Swiss so that I can get the Arca spigot for the Bravo and utilize the MPA magnetospeed attachment.

I would like to see some feedback on the new Magpul chassis.

A touch heavy but versatile. The ability to swap the folding stock from right to left should be very appealing to southpaws. Adjustability on the stock is also good. No complaints from me. Price is on the high side given the other equivalent chassis this competes with.

How much lighter is the Hybrid than the BA Lite?

John

I'm very interested in this. I would love to have a rifle I can switch between hunting and LR shooting. I'm wondering if I went with a smaller contour barrel and this chassis, if I could get rifle weight(just the rifle) under 9 pounds.

yes, the MPA RAT is the 1.5" dovetail/RRS/Arca rail system. its ment to work on that standard, so the RAT attachments should work just fine on other ARCA rail stuff, just as the RRS clamps work fine on the MPA RAT system (I have the RRS bipod mount and it works fine on my MPA RAT rails)

Did anyone handle the MPA hybrid? Thinking of putting a switch barrel Nucleus in one. All the bells and whistles for match shooting, then pull all that off and a lighter barrel for hunting.
