Swarovski relased their new Z5 + lline of optics. It is retaining the same 5x mag range, but with more turret options, 300 tube, and magnification ranges.

I'm a mil guy to the core, but these are so good at what they are I pre-ordered one the first time I touched one my smith had a couple months ago. They will sell alot of these.

The turret was redesigned by Kahles and is everything I wanted in a hunting/occasional steel scope. The 2x10 is on my list as well.

Standard zero stop function with tool inside cap.
There is a small lever at the base of the turret, 30° turn to lock turret. Very simple, but does everything I want it too.

Would you be able to give a comparison in optical quality between the Z8i 3.5-28x50 which I currently own, and the z5i+ 3,5-18*50? I do need the z5i+ 2-10x42

Field and stream claim that the Z5+ 2-10x42 model is not equipped with HD lenses, but the rest of the line is, can you confirm this?

Does anyone else have any information about if the glasses are z5+ 2-10x42 HD or not? Might want to go for the 3.5-18*50 instead if this is the case, with some weight penalty.

No reason to do that. Pick the mag range/ size that makes sense for your application unless you're ridiculously sensitive to CA
